Challenge Link-Up Post: Classic Short Stories

Please link your reviews for your Classic Short Stories here.  This is only for the Classic Short Stories category.  It should be ONE complete volume, at least eight stories. The stories can be written by a single author, or it can be an anthology of stories by different authors, but it should be one book, cover to cover. Children's stories are acceptable in this category.

If you do not have a blog, or somewhere public on the internet where you post book reviews, please write your mini-review/thoughts in the comments section.  If you like, you can include the name of your blog and/or the title of the book in your link, like this: "Karen K. @ Books and Chocolate (The Ghost Stories of Edith Wharton). "

  1. Just wondering... I'd like to choose Anthony Trollope's Christmas stories for the short stories but the book only has 6 stories. Still it's over 200 pages, http://www.amazon.com/Christmas-Thompson-Hall-Stories-Classics/dp/0143122479/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1452711621&sr=1-1&keywords=trollope+christmas+stories. Might this book work in the challenge? I hope! Thanks!

    1. The book has to contain at least eight stories to count. There are other books of Trollope's short stories that include eight or more stories, so I suggest you look for one of those if you want to read Trollope for this category.

  2. Finished "A Good Man is Hard to Find" for this category. These were tough stories. I also found out short stories are not really my thing. :)

  3. I picked up "Tea with Mr. Rochester" thinking it was a novel that would fit tidily in my bag on a trip. As soon as I read the first story, "Violet", I was hooked so Edith Wharton's "New York Stories" were postponed for now and this fascinating book took its place.
